You know how there are certain things you loved as a kid that still just get you going? This creamy, perfectly slightly sweet peanut butter fruit dip recipe is definitely one of those things for me.
My mom would make this peanut butter fruit dip as an after school snack and upon request, and every single time it just brought so much joy to my child self.
I hadn’t eaten this dip in quite some time, but recently got a random hard craving for it and realized it MUST be shared with the world. This fruit dip recipe is fabulous with apples, pretzels, bananas… it really adds happiness atop anything.
Enjoy!
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 – 1.5 cups Cool Whip, depending on taste preference
Directions
- Add peanut butter to a small or medium sized mixing bowl.
- Add 1/2 cup of Cool Whip to peanut butter, gently stir to combine. If wanting the dip a little sweeter, add more Cool Whip in 1/2 cup increments to taste, stirring after each addition.
- Pair with apples, pretzels, bananas, the possibilities are endless!
Tips & Tricks
- The more Cool Whip the lighter, fluffier and sweeter the dip will be.
- My favorite ratio is 1:3 peanut butter to cool whip.
- This dip is honestly good with almost anything, my favorite is a generous dollop of this dip on a piece of fresh apple.
- This dip is perfect to take to a party or when hosting your own get together.
- For a healthier, more natural alternative to Cool Whip, try truwhip found at most grocery stores in the freezer section.

Good morning Hanna,
Great news about building a house and I hope you get the car situation resolved soon.
Your post about the peanut butter dip made me smile…My lunch most days consists of vanilla yogurt
mixed with peanut butter with different fruits to dip in it !!!! Love it !!!!!
Take care and love you guys
Love this idea Hanna. I would also want to suggest possibly trying PB2 for a low cal/low WW points alternative. I have a PB2 with chocolate. I think that would be super good!! I’m going to try it someday.
