Grace was born in the thick of summer. Therefore her first party theme HAD to be Grace’s 1st Bee Day. So cute, so festive and so fun (and easy) to buy stuff for.

An entire year of watching our precious babe grow and learn about her world. She is inherently kind and nurturing, has a strong sense of self, is fiercely independent yet appreciates some validation. She loves carbs, her fur brothers, music/dancing and being around people. She is wonderfully made and so dearly loved.

The party was delayed by a couple if weeks because the 1st bee day girl and several other family members had COVID, but thankfully we were all ok and just celebrated a little late.

Considering Grace won’t remember her first birthday, you could argue the party is more for everyone else. And honestly I don’t feel remorse for that because we should celebrate parents and their village for making it through the first year!

I had a lot of fun with this aesthetic. Highlighted a lighter buttery yellow with black accents to keep it light and airy but also bright and cheery. I collected the decor over months, waiting until I saw pieces that would fit the vibe and the budget. Thank goodness for Hobby Lobby sales🙌🏻

If you’re hosting a spring or summer event 10/10 recommend going with a bee theme.
